Welcome Home, Roy and Kate!
Congratulations, Roy and Kate! You did it! I believe my business is part hustle and part the universe. I’ve been fortunate enough to have some wonderful clients who found me on their own, you included! To be perfectly honest, when people tell me they are looking for a rental, I give them a resource and then I’m out, but you guys were so lovely and I enjoyed meeting and talking with you so much, I wanted to stay in touch and make sure you all were taken care of.
I’m just happy that upon walking into this home, the energy was right and you fell into my master plan to make you denizens of RVA! (insert evil laugh here). You all were sheer pleasure to meet and work with, and I do hope you reach out in the future for anything you might need or even if you just want to grab a beverage.
Below, I’ve hand selected some resources that might help you acclimate to Richmond. If you’d like me to add anything else, I’m happy to. Once again, CONGRATS and WELCOME to Richmond, VA! May your stay here be happy and long.
Love and Light,
Jo

Hello Roy and Kate!
Welcome to Union and Church Hill,
A Little History
The neighborhood derives its name from the joining of two smaller hills, creating a "union" that gave the area its distinctive topography. Although it is not part of the Seven Hills of Richmond, it is quite hilly. You’ll find more narrow, winding streets and a diverse mix of architectural styles—ranging from Federal and Greek Revival to Italianate and Queen Anne—Union Hill reflects the city's growth over time. It is a neighborhood that has gone through various economic stages ranging from prosperity to urban decay to what is now a revitalized and booming area.
Church HIll has more street cred due to this famous dude named Patrick Henry. St. John’s Church is where he gave his famous, “Give me Liberty or Give Me Death” speech. You guys remember liberty right? Chimborazo Park houses the largest American Civil War Hospital and and Libby Hill Park is known for its River view and was a significant portion of the 2015 UCI Road World Championships. Church Hill is also known as the site of Virginia's second revolutionary convention. There are many historical sites to see here.
In case you were wondering, these are the Seven Hills of Richmond, VA:
Church Hill, Union Hill, Council Chamber Hill, Navy Hill, French Garden Hill, Shockoe Hill, and Gambles Hill
Welcome to Your New Community
There are so many cool things to do in your new community, including parks, outdoor activities, award winning dining options, and community amenities. Your neighbors at 512 are Mona and Parker, they are a younger couple who also bought this year. to your right is Douglas and Nicole Harwood, but it might be a rental, couldn’t find enough info. At 715 North 22nd St is my friend Cynthia Tobin, she’s a Licensed Master Aesthetician and we’ve been friends since high school. Chris Jones is also a wonderful neighbor you have at 508 I believe.Charlie and Stacey at 515 have lived there since I lived there. They are quirky and all into nature with gardening, chickens, and bees (or used to be bees). I have many friends sprinkled about Church HIll. You’ll also find they do a lot of filming there for TV and Film. Church HIll is not a heel friendly town, but you will enjoy the eateries, people you meet, community, and activities here. Let’s dial you in…
